Valued in excess of $1 billion, The Paul G. Allen Collection is poised to be the largest and most exceptional art auction in history. Pursuant to his wishes, the estate will dedicate all the proceeds to philanthropy.

Bluecadet produced over 20 interactive moments across 20,000 square feet of exhibition space at the MIT Museum, inviting visitors to experience first-hand how MIT-led innovations are shaping the future.

The MIT Museum turns the university inside-out. Bluecadet worked with the architecture firm Studio Joseph and the brand strategists at Pentagram to create an exhibition that makes complex scientific ideas more accessible by demonstrating active research through interactive, engaging, and playful experiences.

MIT Museum

Founded in 1862, The Buffalo AKG Art Museum, formerly known as the Albright–Knox Art Gallery, houses one of the world’s most impressive collections of contemporary and modern art.

With a strong commitment to expanding accessibility and engaging with its local and global community, Buffalo AKG Art Museum rebranded and underwent a groundbreaking campus expansion project completed in June 2023. To complement this ambitious undertaking and align with its goals, Buffalo AKG engaged with Bluecadet to modernize and enhance it’s web presence.

The Bluecadet team was a pleasure to work with. They expertly translated our newly refreshed print identity to the digital realm and successfully handled several complex integrations to produce the focal point of our new site, the Collection Search.

World-renowned artist Paul Pfeiffer presents 

in collaboration with Artwrld. A meditation on our collective cultural obsession with mass spectacle and ritual, 

 is comprised of edited footage pulled from two iconic boxing matches featuring eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao. 

The collection consists of two long-form video works (each an edition of 5 plus 1 AP) and 150 short-form clips (each unique and variable in duration).

The collection of short-form clips have officially sold out but are now available on the 

Paul Pfeiffer's Vs. Sold Out

., transports the viewer to the boxing ring and highlights found footage from two highly anticipated historical boxing matches — Pacquiao vs. Horn and Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. To create each piece, Pfeiffer has taken existing televised footage and digitally erased Pacquiao’s opponent, leaving the viewer to witness a man struggling, resisting, suffering, and at times prevailing over a ghostly foe who is as unseen as he is undeniably present. 

More than an image of sports, Pfeiffer brings his unsparing eye to a culture of cameras and media distribution that ultimately lands, painfully, in a body. The collection presents us with an incredibly evocative and moving work by one of the great visual artists of our time.

About the Collection

A pioneer of video and computer-based art, Paul Pfeiffer has created celebrated works that sample and re-edit footage from televised sports, concerts, and other mass media events. Exploring the relationship between public spectacle, image culture, and individual and group identity formation, Pfeiffer’s work has been included in solo exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, Buffalo; and the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, among others. His work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; LACMA, Los Angeles; Pinault Collection, Venice; Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin; Julia Stoschek Collection, Dusseldorf and Berlin; and the Pinothek der Moderne, Munich, among others. 

 will collaborate with Artwrld as the official nonprofit partner for Vs., selected by Pfeiffer to receive a portion of every primary and secondary sale.

Exploring ancient Greek and Roman sculptures in vibrant color with Augmented Reality

For a groundbreaking exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bluecadet designed and developed Chroma AR, a web-based AR tool that lets users get up close and personal with a 2500-year-old sphinx.

Chroma: Ancient Sculpture in Color exhibits Greek and Roman sculptures as they originally appeared: brightly painted with vibrant colors and complex patterns. Bluecadet’s AR tool offers visitors of all ages and abilities a new perspective on the ancient statues in the Met’s collection.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has been the voice of the nation's radio and television hosts for nearly a century. When NAB moved their Washington, D.C. headquarters to the city’s Ballpark District, they knew there was an opportunity to connect with new audiences.

A concepting sprint led to an experience design strategy for the new headquarters: Any moments introducing visitors to NAB needed to be fun, evergreen, and reflective of the organization’s broad constituent base. We developed two digital experiences: a 17 x 12 ft video wall, and a five-panel touch screen that honors NAB’s most distinguished members.

Developing an interactive experience that honors broadcasters’ enduring legacy while leveraging the latest technology and user experience best practices is a massive undertaking. Not only did Bluecadet meet this challenge they also went above and beyond to bring innovative and exciting ideas to life.

NAB Headquarters

Flow is an immersive, interactive exhibition of Netherlandish art created for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The room-scale work pair landscapes with soundscapes, using camera sensing and projections to reveal layers of content as visitors approach.

Designed to reward curiosity and foster connection, Flow invites visitors to look more closely at masterworks by 17th-century Dutch and Flemish artists to see how a world four centuries and one ocean away can so closely reflect the way we live today.

Bluecadet’s team of technologists and storytellers were the best partners we could ask for. Flow is a case-study in elevating the immersive beyond mere spectacle.

A comprehensive new spatial and interpretative experience for W. L. Gore & Associates, a global materials science company focused on discovery, product innovation, and a commitment to improving lives.

To help Gore’s Associates share their company’s rich heritage with partners, customers, and visitors, Bluecadet designed a comprehensive new spatial and interpretative experience at the company’s Newark, Delaware Capabilities Center.

Brand Experience Center

The Milton Hershey School, a free boarding school founded by a famous chocolatier, wanted a modern visitors center.

From early strategy to the completed installation, we gave the Milton Hershey School a new way of introducing themselves to the world. The Founders Hall Visitor Experience immerses visitors in the school’s history, from its founding over a century ago to the students who call the campus home today.

Something that really resonated with me was something very close to what I say… 'What do you want people to know? What do you want people to feel?' and Bluecadet took it one step further with this: 'What do you want them to do? What's that call to action?'

The Independence Seaport Museum’s new cornerstone exhibit shares with visitors the science and beauty of the Delaware River Watershed. We partnered with 

 to create an experience that blurs the line between education and play—making it fun for kids to learn about the water right outside the museum’s walls.

River Alive

Bluecadet partnered with the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in New York to create a signature digital experience for the 60th annual Mad Ball gala. To entertain guests that included design luminaries, museum board members, and honorees, we created a memorable interactive experience that was true to the MAD mission: an innovative and unexpected celebration of design and the creative process.

Bluecadet based gameplay on arcade classic Pong. But instead of a traditional input mechanism, this game used an unexpected controller – capacitive fruit. Over the course of the evening, we composted two dozen apples, oranges, and bananas. We even peeled and ate one of our controllers when its authenticity was questioned.
