Paul Pfeiffer: Prologue to the Story of the Birth of Freedom Opens at LA MoCA

Guggenheim Museum, and The Museum of Modern Art in New York, among others. In 2011, he collaborated with Icelandic singer Björk to write an app for her album, Biophilia. In 2023, an NFT from his critically acclaimed collection, 

, was one of the first NFTs acquired by the Pompidou Center.

Exploring ancient Greek and Roman sculptures in vibrant color with Augmented Reality

For a groundbreaking exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bluecadet designed and developed Chroma AR, a web-based AR tool that lets users get up close and personal with a 2500-year-old sphinx.

Chroma: Ancient Sculpture in Color exhibits Greek and Roman sculptures as they originally appeared: brightly painted with vibrant colors and complex patterns. Bluecadet’s AR tool offers visitors of all ages and abilities a new perspective on the ancient statues in the Met’s collection.

Marco Brambilla is a London-based artist known for his elaborate re-contextualizations of popular and found imagery, as well as pioneering digital imaging technologies in video installation and art. Brambilla’s work has been internationally exhibited and is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Guggenheim Museum (New York); San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; ARCO Foundation (Madrid); and the Corcoran Gallery of Art (Washington D.C). Brambilla is a recipient of the Tiffany Comfort Foundation and Tiffany Colbert Foundation awards. His work has been featured at the Venice Film Festival and Sundance Film Festivals, as well as Fondation Beyeler in Basel, Switzerland.

Bluecadet partnered with the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in New York to create a signature digital experience for the 60th annual Mad Ball gala. To entertain guests that included design luminaries, museum board members, and honorees, we created a memorable interactive experience that was true to the MAD mission: an innovative and unexpected celebration of design and the creative process.

Bluecadet based gameplay on arcade classic Pong. But instead of a traditional input mechanism, this game used an unexpected controller – capacitive fruit. Over the course of the evening, we composted two dozen apples, oranges, and bananas. We even peeled and ate one of our controllers when its authenticity was questioned.

MADball

Through her multifaceted, performance-based practice, Jill Magid explores the emotional, philosophical, and legal tensions between individual agency and large institutions such as intelligence agencies, artist’s estates and the police. A Guggenheim Fellow, Magid has received solo exhibitions at the Tate Modern, Whitney Museum, Berkeley Art Museum, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and the Security and Intelligence Agency of the Netherlands. Her work is in the collections of the Pompidou Center, Whitney Museum, Fundacion Jumex, and Walker Art Center.
